    Hello,

is there support for the thermia itec eco 5 heatpump (planned or already available?)
I’d love to use this more open approach compared to the original thermia online module.

If I understand it correctly, the ITEC in itself is the outdoor part of the pump and there are different indoor units that can be attached.

If you can find an “EXT” connector on the mainboard it will most likely work. To be sure you can send me a picture of the main-board as well.

I’m also looking for HA control for Itec Eco 8 that was manufactured in 2021.

Could you clarify if the EXT connector should be looked from the outdoor unit or the indoor unit?

    Second question is that:
Does the ThermIQ/MQTT interfere with the configurations of the system in case of lost connection or freezing of the ThermIQ board? Meaning that if the board fails while family is on holidays, is there chance that the house is cold when arriving home if the freezing happened while the EVU was set so that the Heat pump was off?

The EXT connector is on the main compute board of the heatpump. Look for the men “Compatible heatpumps” for some pictures.

The ThermIQ-board itself maintain the settings given to it by your home automation system and does not take any decisions by itself. If your automation system hangs ThermIQ will maintain last settings, but a power outtake will reset the board to a non-blocked EVU state

    Hi Niklas,
That control board is unfortunately not supported by ThermIQ,
